Is my costume jewelry Art Nouveau valuable?
So I have this necklace from a thrift store a while back, like YEARS ago, and it never occurred to me until recently, but this necklace looks valuable-I have somewhat of a background in art and to me this necklace looks Art Nouveau-esque
And I realize that this necklace is obviously costume jewelry, it’s not solid gold, the stones are not real, however that doesn’t mean it’s not valuable, because I know that years ago, some of the most sought after EXPENSIVE high end designers were creating costume jewelry, NOT fine jewelry because it gave them more free reign in terms of working with stones, and colors etc

Alphonse Mucha was born in what is now the Czech Republic in 1860 and moved to Paris in 1890 where he became the star of the poster-art movement under the patronage of the Sarah Bernhardt.
